Education Initiative

We in Better World Foundation are working towards providing rural India with an access point for the best quality, to improve the social and economic status of the household. We believe in educating young minds as a tool to explore endless potential present in rural India. BWF is actively working towards this direction with several low-fee private schools working under the banner of "Better World School” imparting quality education to children. Along with these schools, we have 5 tuition centres supplementing school education and preparing children for the competitive exams and better opportunities ahead. We are also working towards providing notebooks and stationery at highly subsidised cost, in order to reduce the overall cost of education on each child.

Livelihood Initiatives

Better World Foundation works with the rural community to enhance economic and livelihood opportunities. We see a huge potential in agriculture to transform and uplift rural economy. Hence, we engage with youth from villages and train them in modern agricultural practices, provide linkages to market and regular consultancy with agricultural expert to create Agri-preneurs in the community. These Agri-preneurs further work as an access point to village for various agriculture related issues. To know more about the initiative, click on the link below.
Working with these agri-preneurs we are also introducing new high-yielding and economically beneficial crops and fruit plantation in the community. While doing this we are taking extra care so that new crops doesn’t bring economic disaster for small and marginalised farmers. To ensure this we have created our own model farm which works as a demo-farm and training centre for other farmers.

Health Initiatives

Healthcare is one of the biggest challenges in rural India. Better World Foundation works alongside the central and state government along with other partner organisation to assist in awareness regarding health and sanitation in rural India. We look for innovative solutions of spreading the message of health and sanitation to the distant villages and children and implement the same to help government initiatives reach the most distant.

Integrated Development Programmes

Here at BWF, we believe that development initiatives in village should give equal stress on infrastructure development, community spirit and nurturing social values. We believe that these initiatives should provide equal opportunities for people across class and caste structure. Currently BWF is working to bring all-round development in 13 villages of Jamui district in Bihar. These villages are present in periphery of Kshatriyakund, the birth place of Mahavira, the twenty fourth tirthankara. While working with the rural community, providing its people with quality access to basic amenities and opportunities to enable them to shape their own destiny. Through these efforts, we are trying to keep the soul of holy land of Kshatriyakund alive.

Consultancy Services

We believe that in order to create scalable impact in rural life, we must work alongside elected representatives and governments and establish a sound link between the Policy Makers, Implementing Agencies and The People. Working towards the aim, Better World Foundations works alongside elected representatives as consultants to push the agendas and requirements of rural India. As consultants we try to work as a bridge between them and the people. Looking at elected representatives and government machinery as partner in change we envisage developing and empowering village society.
